Product Development & Design
The engineering. Mechanical design, material selection, tolerance and fit, and the design-for-manufacture decisions that determine whether the part can be made at a price that works. This is where a product either becomes manufacturable or quietly becomes expensive.

Manufacturing Setup & Support
A drawing package is not a product. This phase covers the tooling conversation, vendor communication, first-article review, and the corrections that always surface once a real mold makes a real part. I stay on through the transition to production.

Whether This Is a Fit
Good Fit
- A physical product that has to be manufactured, not simulated
- You need someone who has actually taken a part through tooling
- The design has to survive a cost target, not just a render
- You want one engineer accountable end to end
Poor Fit
- Software, apps, or anything without a physical part
- Pure visual styling with no engineering underneath
- You need a full in-house team rather than a principal engineer
