Credit Card Comb
A comb with the footprint of a credit card, so it lives in a wallet instead of a drawer.
The Problem
A pocket comb is not actually pocket-sized. It is too long for a wallet, too thick for a card slot, and snaps at the tooth line the first time you sit on it. So it stays home, which is the one place you do not need it.
The Constraint
Reducing the outline to a card is the easy half. The hard half is that comb teeth need enough section depth to survive being flexed, and depth is exactly what a card-thickness part does not have. The work was finding the tooth geometry and wall thickness where the part still combs properly but survives a wallet — the whole product lives or dies on that trade.
The Result
A comb that passes the only test that matters: it is on you when you need it.
